Gorminish, Co Fermanagh

The Gorminish project sits in a 40 acre private estate and evolved in a number of phases. The first phase involved adopting the traditional craft of building dry stone walls around the perimeter of the property. By the shore of the lake more traditional skills were employed in the building of a boathouse using reclaimed pitch pine, which was finished with a living green sod roof. The boathouse nestles into the natural woodland, with the land-shaped wildflower meadows forming pockets of open spaces.
